This Privacy Policy applies to personal information collected and used by Welocity.ai (operated by NetConnect Private Limited) ("Welocity", "we", "our", "us") about individuals who interact with us, including:

Visitors to our website and platform
Job candidates who use our AI-powered talent delivery services
Enterprise clients and their representatives
Individuals registering for events, demos, or marketing communications

Legal Basis and Compliance

Welocity processes personal data in compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India), the EU GDPR, the UK GDPR, and U.S. state privacy laws including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/ CPRA), where relevant.

Data Fiduciary/Controller Role

For candidate data, Welocity acts as a Data Processor on behalf of enterprise clients. For client contact data and platform usage data, Welocity acts as the Data Fiduciary/Controller and adheres to principles of lawfulness, fairness, transparency, purpose limitation, accuracy, and accountability.

B. About Welocity

Welocity.ai is an AI-native talent delivery platform that accelerates hiring through Octo — our AI assistant that conducts interviews in 25+ languages, delivering pre-vetted candidates in 7–12 days instead of the industry standard of 45–60 days.

C. Scope Limitations

Candidate data processed for clients is governed by client-specific contracts and handled per their instructions.
Recruitment for Welocity itself is covered by a separate applicant privacy notice.
As a Data Processor, Welocity processes data strictly under client instructions and binding Data Processing Agreements.

II. Information We Collect

A. Information You Provide

For Candidates:

Identity Information: Name, email, phone, address
Professional Information: Resume/CV, work history, education, skills
Interview Data: Video/audio recordings, interview responses
Assessment Results: Technical, personality, language tests
Communication Records: Emails, chats with support
Device and Usage Data: IP address, browser, timestamps, location
Special Category Data: (e.g., gender, disability) processed only with explicit consent.

For Enterprise Clients:

Business Contact Information: Name, title, company, contact details
Account Information: Login credentials, usage preferences
Payment Information: For success-based fees (10–16% of compensation)

Automatically Collected Data

Includes IP address, browser type, device identifiers, and activity logs for security, analytics, and service improvements.

Consent Metadata

We record consent timestamps, IPs, and duration preferences to comply with data protection laws.

III. How We Use Your Information

We process your information for specific and lawful purposes, based on consent, contractual necessity, legitimate interest, or legal obligation.

IV. How We Share Information

A. With Enterprise Clients

Candidate data is shared only with authorized clients for positions applied or matched. Clients handle such data per applicable laws.

B. With Service Providers

Includes cloud hosting, AI/ML services, payment processors, and analytics partners (e.g., AWS, Azure, Stripe). All providers adhere to equivalent data protection standards.

International Transfers

Data may be transferred outside your country under Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or similar safeguards ensuring lawful protection.

In the event of a breach likely to result in harm, Welocity will notify authorities and affected individuals promptly, as required by law.

VI. Data Retention

Candidate Data: active process + 12 months; talent pool (2 years)
Client Data: business relationship + 5 years
Interview Recordings: 90 days after decision unless extended

Data is deleted or anonymized when no longer needed. Personal data is erased upon consent withdrawal unless retention is legally required.

Octo conducts structured video interviews to assess skills.
Human recruiters review all AI assessments.
Users may request human review of automated decisions.
Regular AI bias and fairness audits are performed.

IX. Children’s Privacy

Welocity does not knowingly process data of individuals under 18. If collected inadvertently, such data will be deleted immediately.

X. Do Not Sell or Share

Welocity does not sell or share personal data under the CCPA/CPRA. U.S. residents can request data preferences viaprivacy@welocity.ai.

XI. Updates to This Policy

Any material changes will be communicated via email or platform notice at least 15 days before taking effect. The current version will always be available atwww.welocity.ai.
